This jointed teddy bear is a genuine acrobat who can turn as many as eight somersaults one after the other. His clockwise mechanism is wound up by turning his right arm clockwise whilst holding his left arm still. Then he will somersault all by himself. It was Hugo Steiff who created the somersaulting bear. He developed an indestructible winding mechanism which was registered as a utility patent

The brown of his hand-stitched nose is also reflected in the colour of his eyes. He is indeed a historically important addition to anyones collection.

5-way jointed with Glass Eyes and stuffed with Wood Filling, and with gold-plated "Button in Ear" and Surface Washable.
