How does a Steiff designer approach the task to create a new series inspired by the original classical models? He leafs through earlier catalogues, looks at historical successes, and interprets old cutting patterns. He demonstrates that Steiff is still the home of a traditional craft.

We salute the first of the new Steiff Classic bears: welcome back Jackie Teddy bear! In 1953, Jackie first went travelling, commemorating the 50th Teddy anniversary. He has thrilled Steiff enthusiasts worldwide - and at times commanded high prices. The 5-way articulated Jackie of 2015 is very similar to his predecessor: with a thick coat of finest mohair, the cute stature and pink satin bow. A gold-plated "Button in Ear" completes the classic look. And he is smiling as he did in the past - perhaps even a little bit more.

5 way jointed with Safety Eyes and stuffed with Safety Filling, and with gold-plated "Button in Ear" and Surface Washable .
