The legend of the Christmas Rose dates back to 15th century Germany. According to the fable, a young girl named Madelon wanted to visit the Christ child in the manger, but had no gift to bring. From her tears sprang a plant with beautiful blooms - "The Christmas Rose."

Using our full size Christmas Rose bear as an inspiration, we created this ornament sized version for all those who cherished the first edition. We think its even more charming than its precursor. Its made from ice green mohair with snow-white felt for its paw pads. The bear wears two delicate Christmas roses and two branches of fir tree made of felt and plush sewn by hand on her chest. Whether you were lucky enough to get the first (sold out) Christmas Rose bear or you just want to own a special petite version for your tree, this is the piece for you..
