This beautiful bear was re-discovered when a pair of antique collectors in the USA bought a vintage chest of drawers. Inside, wrapped in an old bed sheet, was a rare Steiff bear made in 1905 - one of the very earliest Steiff bears.

Now everyone has a chance to own this special bear, designed by Richard Steiff himself. He has a soft coat of vintage white mohair, cotton felt paw pads and shiny wooden eyes. He's stuffed with traditional wood shavings and soft kapok, with a squeaker in his tummy! His arms and legs are loosely jointed, just like the original bear recently found. He carries a patinated steel Steiff button in ear, only found on Steiff replicas
